Zoom has many built-in features to improve video and picture quality, as well as enhance video conferencing with Virtual Backgrounds and filters. These features allow for a better meeting, webinar, and remote work experience, as well as allow hosts and participants to add some flair to their videos.

This guide will cover how to enable the settings for the virtual backgrounds and filters and how to use them on the iPad/iPhone.

Step 1

Log into a Zoom meeting or start a Zoom meeting.

Step 2

In the Zoom meeting, locate the More button.

On the iPad, the More button will be in the list at the top left-hand corner.

On the iPhone, you can navigate to the More button by swiping from right to left.

Step 3

On the options that appear, tap on Backgrounds & Effects.

Step 4

In the Virtual Backgrounds menu, there are different backgrounds to choose from. There is an additional option to add other backgrounds, + Add, from pictures saved on the iPad/iPhone.

In addition to virtual backgrounds, you can also tap on Video filters to enhance or add some flair to their video.
